현대차는 18일 경기도 화성시 소재 현대차·기아 기술연구소에서 산업통상자원부, 현대글로비스, LG에너지솔루션, KST모빌리티와 전기 택시 배터리 대여 및 사용후 배터리 활용 실증 사업을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
MOU 체결식에는 정세균 국무총리, 산업부 성윤모 장관, 정의선 현대차그룹 회장, 현대차 공영운 사장, 현대글로비스 김정훈 사장, LG에너지솔루션 김종현 사장, KST모빌리티 이행렬 대표 등 정부 및 업계 관계자들이 참석했다.
MOU에 따르면 택시 플랫폼 사업자는 전기차를 구매한 뒤 바로 배터리 소유권을 리스 운영사에 매각한다. 이후 사업자는 전기차 보유 기간 동안 월 단위로 배터리 리스비를 지급하게 된다. 사업자는 사실상 배터리값이 빠진 가격으로 전기차를 구매하는 셈이다.
