모의훈련은 국내 백신 생산 공장이 있는 안동공장에서 출하한 코로나19 백신모형을 대형 물류창고가 있는 이천을 거쳐 25개 지역별 접종기관으로 운송됐다. 대구의 경우, 이날 오후 1시 32분경 북구보건소에 도착해 백신 보관함에 저장됐다.
한편, 이날 훈련에는 질병관리청, 국방부 수송지원본부 및 육·해·공군, 경찰청, 백신 유통업체 SK바이오사이언스, 각 지역 책임부대 등이 참여한 가운데 육군 특수전사령부와 경찰 요원들이 백신 이동경로를 따라 호송하고, 하늘에서는 도서지역으로 수송에 대비, 공군 수송기가 훈련에 동참했다.

활주로 시설이 없는 지역으로의 수송에는 HH-47 헬기가 투입됐다. 이천 물류센터에서 육군 특전사까지 백신을 옮긴 뒤 헬기가 이를 각 도서지역으로 옮겼다.
