7일 RBW 측은 “그룹 오마이걸, B1A4, 온앤오프의 소속사 ㈜WM엔터테인먼트를 인수(M&A)한다”고 밝혔다.
최근 RBW는 WM엔터 최대주주와 주식매매계약(SPA)를 체결하고 지난달 31일 거래를 완료했다. RBW는 신주 및 구주를 포함해 WM엔터의 지분 70%이상을 확보, 자회사로 편입했다. 이로써 RBW는 WM엔터와 긴밀한 협업을 진행, 시너지 창출에 주력할 계획이다.
RBW와 WM엔터가 각자 가진 아티스트 기획, 콘텐츠 제작 역량이 결합한다면 매출 다각화와 성공적인 신사업 추진을 이어 나갈 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한, IP를 바탕으로 한 새로운 전략사업 런칭 및 글로벌 시장 진출도 본격적으로 추진할 예정이다.
